realstadt.wishes knocking on reality’s doors exhibition
is an urban architecture exhibition composed of more than 250 architectural and urban planning models from all over germany. also presented are 65 projects in words and pictures exhibited over the two-level venue, the large turbine hall of power station mitte, which is also the first time the disused facility space has hosted an exhibition event.
organized by the federal ministry of transport, building and urban development (BMVBS), the exhibition is opening up the urban-planning debate to the public rather than limiting the debate to a small circle of experts. a group of well-known personalities from diverse walks of public life will give guided tours of the exhibited models and projects, which were submitted by representatives of diverse municipalities, planning practices, universities, civic initiatives and a number of artists.
